YOUNG, OUTSTANDING and UNIQUE.....YOU!
If you are looking for ways to improve your community, earn volunteer hours, and make wonderful friends, you should join
VolunteerLEON Youth Corps. Membership is open to youth from ages 12 to 18 that need or want
to complete volunteer hours and have ideas about how to improve our
community. Get involved by attending the monthly meeting and group
service project, participating in volunteer and civic engagement
opportunities advertised in the monthly update, presenting your project ideas
to the Youth Leadership Council, or starting a Youth Corps chapter at your
school.
Opportunities for Your
Summer of Service
The
Help Increase the Peace Program is a fun non-violence and
leadership workshop for middle and high school students and
adults who work or volunteer with them. Learn through games,
discussion, and others’ experiences in a small, diverse group.
The Help Increase the Peace Program teaches skills useful in
workplaces, schools, families, and everywhere else. Sound
interesting? Then be sure to
sign
up for our Basic and Advanced HIPP workshop taking place
July 25-28 and August 6-8. We will also be offering training for
those interested in becoming facilitators on July 30-31 and
August 9-10.
Still not sure if HIPP is the thing for you?

VolunteerLEON tracks the
community service hours completed by the youth and also provide them
with a transcript of their community service hours. Members are also kept abreast of service related scholarship
opportunities and recognized at the local, state, and national level for
their contributions to our community. Interested youth, parents,
schools or organizations may contact the Youth Corps Coordinator at (850) 606-1970
or
