Join
us in this annual community wide day of service, on Saturday,
February 23, 2008, which unites campus and
community together. Approximately 500 volunteers from all over
the Big Bend area are expected to serve at 30 or more
community based agencies in and around Tallahassee.
Participants can choose from a variety of community need
areas, including animal care, hunger, homelessness, senior
services, children/youth, disaster services, environment, and many more.

Community Collaboration at Work:
Make A Difference Tallahassee 2008 is hosted by the
American Red Cross, Capital Area Citizen Corps, The City of
Tallahassee, FAMU Office of Student Union/Activities, FSU
Center for Civic Education and Service, FSU Service Corps,
Keiser College, TCC Office of Student Volunteerism, United
Partners for Human Services, and VolunteerLEON. The annual event takes place on February
23 and is a day for community residents
and college students to give
back side by side. The day creates new partnerships, breaks
down stereotypes, and reinforces the importance of giving
together.
