The Leon
County Board of County Commissioners and the
City of Tallahassee will face
off November 4th through February 10th as teams of employees from both local
government organizations work side by side to build a Habitat for Humanity
of Tallahassee house. A family once living in substandard housing will work
alongside local government employees to build their home.
Team Leader Opportunities
- Each division should designate one team leader to assist with
monitoring registration online, communicating where and when to meet,
what employees need to wear and what they need to bring. Once
onsite, the team leader is a liaison between the city and county
volunteers and Habitat.
Builders - the schedule below
provides dates that employees from each division will be building.
Build-Site
Hospitality
- Food is another important component of a building day. Food
arrangements accommodate feeding the number of scheduled volunteers,
homeowner's working on sweat equity hours and construction supervisors
on the site. Please be sure to bring plenty of ice and drinks/sodas for
everyone on the build site.
