Citizens Can Get Involved with
County Government by Serving on Committees
Citizens play an important role in
the shaping and developing of Leon County programs and policies. The Leon County Board of
County Commissioners counts on citizens’ input, comments, and recommendations in order to
provide quality public services to the community. There are
46 citizens
committees that address issues including transportation, housing, parks
and recreation, and more. Citizens interested in serving on a
committee, board, and/or council can now visit the County’s Website and
complete the Board-Appointed Citizen Committee’s Orientation and
Training and fill out an
application. Questions should be directed to Christine
Coble at 488-9962 or by e-mail at
coblec@leoncountyfl.gov.
Applications should be mailed to her attention at 301 S. Monroe Street, Tallahassee,
FL 32301, or faxed at 850-488-1670.
