Court Administration Intern

Department:

Second Judicial Circuit - Office of Court Administration 

Major Objectives:

To become familiar with a career in the trial courts and court administration, to increase professional skills in an operational & administrative office environment, and to add value to court operations & administration.

Responsibilities:

View court proceedings, assist with scheduling, attend meetings with and in lieu of county staff, conduct research projects, serve as liaison with other government agencies, and assist operationally with court programs and service. 

Qualifications:

Ability to organize, coordinate, and follow through on assignments; ability to learn, understand, and apply the mission of the 2nd Judicial Circuit and the Office of Court Administration; ability to deal with the public in potentially stressful situations; ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner representative of the court; ability to conduct independent research or staff projects; and punctual & dependable.

Training/Preparation:

On-the-job training is provided.

Commitment:

One academic semester.
