Youth Development Marketing Assistant

4 - H, Leon County Cooperative Extension

Major Objectives:

To promote awareness of the 4-H Program and its educational programs that assist children in acquiring knowledge, developing life skills and forming attitudes that will enable them to become self-directed and productive individuals.

Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, implement, direct and evaluate marketing materials. Establish and present objectives, goals and plans for learning activities for 4-H youth members. We will work with you to develop a program that meets your needs and involves your abilities, talents and interests.

Qualifications:

Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications and Graphic Arts majors are preferred. Must possess clerical/administrative competence. Must be able to work well with children. Computer skills are desired. Must have transportation. Must be able to write and speak effectively. Must be a self starter with good motivation and initiative.

Time and Place:

Hours and days are flexible; usually between 8AM-5PM, Monday-Friday- possible weekends/evenings required to complete project; Duties will be performed at the Leon County Extension office and/or off-site as deemed appropriate.

On the job training is desired.

Commitment:

One full academic semester.
