To provide professional
administrative, research and technical assistance to the Human Resources
Division through short and long-term projects.
Responsibilities:
Compiles and organizes data for administrative
action; assists in the preparation and maintenance of statistical
records; assists in preparing reports and presentations; assists in
preparing salary and classification documents; assists with training and
staff development events; assists in data input and telephone surveying;
and assists in reviewing job applications and restructuring the Human
Resource’s database. Work will be reviewed while in progress and upon
completion.
Qualifications:
Must be enrolled as a student.
Public Administration and Human Resources Management majors preferred.
Knowledge of Word Perfect and Excel. Ability to type with speed and
accuracy. Ability to gather and organize data. Ability to communicate
effectively, orally and in writing. Ability to work independently in a
fast paced work environment.
Training/Preparation:
,p>On-the-job training is provided. New employee
orientation is mandatory. Sessions are scheduled on the second Tuesday
of each month from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
Time
and Place:
Duties will be performed in the Human Resources
department at the Leon County Courthouse. Schedule is flexible (8 am - 5
pm, Monday - Friday).
Commitment:
10 hours a week for at least one, preferably two,
semesters. Note: 2, possibly 3 positions are available each
semester.
