Celebration
2003, a special evening of recognition for Capital Area Red Cross
Chapter volunteers at The Moon on Monday June 23, 2003. "For
86 years this Red Cross Chapter has been serving the residents of
Florida's Big Bend," said Karen Hagan, Executive Director of the
Capital Area Chapter. "Red Cross volunteers are part of the very
fabric of this community, and the reason why we are making people's
lives safer every day. With a volunteer to paid staff ratio of 833 to 1,
you can see why we want to recognize such special people."
This upbeat event featured Anna Johnson-Riedel as the Master of
Ceremonies, music by The Big Kahunas, food by Jim & Milts, cakes by
Publix, and hundreds of Red Cross volunteers who were honored by the
Chapter.
