Lee’s
place, a grief and counseling center, meets a profound need in our
community in a truly unique way. Founder Brenda Rabalais recognizes the
value that volunteers bring to Lee’s Place and continually expresses her
gratitude to each of them. The volunteer program is extraordinarily
managed by Tara Stalnacker, an excellent communicator, providing clear
direction, detailed information and a great deal of motivation. Lee’s
place does a fantastic job in widening its impact through a
well-designed volunteer program. By seeking volunteers from a diverse
group of ages, backgrounds, backgrounds, industries, and geographical
areas within the community, Lee’s Place ensures that it volunteers can
empathize with its clients. Lee’s Place’s effective use of volunteer
labor helps keep the costs of client services affordable to those of
limited means. It’s a young organization with a small staff, and its
success is dependent on volunteer service. ~ Verbiage provided by the
volunteers who nominated Lee's Place. |
